RLJMedia, Roger Lanoue Jr. specializes in fashion, portrait, event and wedding photography. My goal is to create work that is stunning to the eyes and soul. I celebrate my experience to work with people and help them make their photography visions come true. I am extremely inspired working with teams of people and enjoy capturing moments that excite the senses.

Photographing People

My photo sessions are fully-digital and are free flowing. I do not take a rigid approach to photography and dealing with people. My instincts are to always break new open boundaries to be created with every shoot. There is always a flow within every person I work with that is special and unique. I trust myself in capturing that moment and showing it in my work. Feeling comfortable in a shoot is one of the most important aspects that adds to creating stunning work. I enjoy people and life as one, and during a shoot thrive on capturing something amazing.

My passion for photography . . .

My interest in photography started when I was about ten years of age. In high school I took pictures of sports events and highschool life. My passion for photography has grown and I find that it has never stopped. I am thankful that my uncle who is a photographer handed me his camera kit, a camera Canon AE-1 and Canon lenses. I used Canon equipment when film was popular and use both film and digital photography today in my work.

My Philosophy

My understanding of this world of light and sound has made me clear that anything and everything is possible with true vision, heart and intent. If my mind can dream it, then it is possible. If my heart feels it then I have the power to create it, and if my eyes see it, then reality has been created.
